A photo book for your second child

If your first child has albums and your second has a folder, you're in very good company. The photos are almost always there. It's the time that ran out.

Why the second child's book doesn't get made

The first baby book happens when you have one child and some evenings. By the second, you still take the photos, but nobody has time to do anything with them. Then a year becomes three, and catching up starts to feel impossible.

Your second child is in more photos than you think

Siblings share most of their days, so they share most of their photos. Check by searching a photo library for your younger child's face. Many parents find they have thousands. Google Photos and Apple Photos can both group photos by face.

Don't reuse the first child's book

A family album isn't the same as a book about one child. If both children are in a photo, it can belong in both books, but each book should open with its own child, and follow their year: their first day of school, their friends, their ordinary Tuesdays.

How to do it by hand

  1. Pick one year.
  2. Search your library for the child's face and save that set to its own album.
  3. Go month by month and choose the best of each moment.
  4. Lead each month with a photo where this child is the main subject.
  5. Lay it out and print it, or keep it digital.

How LifeChapters does it

Each book is built around one child. If you've already made a book for one child, their brother or sister's book reads the same photos again with no new upload.

Your first book is free

LifeChapters (lifechapters.ai) makes a photo book of your child's year from the photos you already have. No card.
